W. Dunlap Covington Award for Community Services

The W. Dunlap Covington Award for Community Service was established in 1995 and is presented at the Chamber’s annual Membership meeting and annual dinner in November. The award was established to honor Dunlap Covington, who was instrumental in organizing the Chamber in 1963, and who served as president for the organization’s first four years.

Henry W. Little III Community Leadership Award

The Henry W. Little III Community Leadership Award was initiated in 2005 and was awarded posthumously to the Anson County business and community leader, who died in August 2005. The award will be presented annually to an individual or group that exemplifies Little’s ideals and standards of service.

Joseph E. Dutton Chamber Champions Award

The Chamber Champion Award was created in 2017 and is awarded by the Chamber President. It is awarded to the company and/or individual that has demonstrated an appreciation and commitment to the Chamber; one who has gone above and beyond. Whose service and dedication have made a significant impact for the Chamber and its members.  An advocate, promoter and supporter of the Chamber’s mission. Previously known as the Chamber Champion Award, it was renamed in 2021 following the passing of Joseph E. Dutton, a true Chamber champion and serving board member.

Young Professional of the Year Award

The Young Professional of the Year Award was created in 2018 and is awarded to a member of Young Professionals Anson (YPA) that has excelled at promoting Anson County, going above and beyond with serving YP Anson, and shows a true passion for Anson County.
